 Paper Boat Videos

Step into the backyard of my studio in the Oakland hills, and you will find the place where I come to dismantle and rebuild my creative mind.

I am writing this to invite you to stand beside me here—to bear witness to the quiet, unfolding alchemy of this landscape.

Look closely at the screen: it is early autumn, and the morning fog is still heavy, hanging like a wet canvas over the sharp, sweeping rhythm of the rolling hills.

See how the ancient oak trees twist outward, cutting through the mist as if reaching for an answer.

This is my sanctuary. This is where I go to learn what my hands are trying to make, to reevaluate my mistakes, and to understand the thoughts that are too loud anywhere else.

By watching this, you are not just looking at a view; you are stepping directly into the space where my art begins.

Thank you for being here with me. When was the last time you unhooked and just settled among the land?

" In the wake of losing my mother to cancer, I found myself standing at the intersection of love and letting go"

This stop-motion piece functions as an animated love letter to her memory. Built entirely from tactile materials- including hand-cut paper, raw illustrations, drifting paper boats, and shimmering glitter- the animation mirrors the fragile, painstaking, and ultimately beautiful nature of grieving.

It is a story about honoring death, trusting the love that remains, and finding the courage to release what we hold dearest."

"Welcome inside my studio, The Paper Boat Den—a space where thoughts, materials, and healing meet."

Being invited inside an artist's studio is a rare gift; it is far more than just looking at physical art; it is a literal walk inside their mind.

In this video, I open the doors to my creative sanctuary to show you how a lifetime of concepts, memories, and emotions are built into the world around me. By stepping into The Paper Boat Den, you are invited to see exactly how an artist's inner landscape comes to life, frame by frame.

My deepest hope is that this peek into my process leaves you deeply inspired. If my work or my journey speaks to you, there are a few beautiful ways you can support it: you can purchase a piece of my work, share this video with someone who might need it, or leave a comment letting me know how my process has inspired your own world.
